Mike Keller, Anna's dad, has been involved in helping others come to true freedom in Christ. For over 15 years, the entire Keller family has been involved with prison ministry since Mike felt God's call on his life to leave a full time job to join the ministry in the mid 90's. Throughout the years, the Keller family has traveled the nation spreading the message of hope with the incarcerated. Mike, along with his wife Suzette, have authored several books, all of which are in large print and paperback for distribution in detention centers, prisons and jails. Their books include, Breaking the Bondage of Addictions, 15 Commands of the Lord Jesus Christ, and numerous evangelism tracts, videos and pamphlets. Several years ago Mike founded Freedom in Truth Prison Ministries, sharing full time in detention centers in Florida. Mike serves as a volunteer chaplain and works with local chaplains and other volunteer ministries to provide Christian materials and books for the incarcerated. The Keller family is involved with their local Baptist Church. Their goal is to reach the incarcerated world with the hope that is found only in salvation through Jesus Christ.

THE DUGGARS & PRISON MINISTRY

Anna recounts that she was blessed to grow up with parents that not only were seeking God, but also reaching out to others who needed to see the love that God has for them. "I often think back to the times that I was "in prison" sharing with young girls or women that were incarcerated. It really helped me when I was a teenager, I think it underscored the importance of making right choices and helped me to realize how much our sin hurts. Even if we are not in prison physically, we can be bound by the chains of sin or "in prison" to the lifestyle of failure that an immoral lifestyle brings. I am grateful to my Dad for rising to the call and not only reaching those in prison, but instilling in me the value of a lifestyle dedicated to Christ." Anna continues to share in prison on occasion and Josh has also shared several times while visiting in Florida and at Juvenile and Adult Detention Centers in Arkansas. They both are thankful for the commitment their parents have, raising them to reach out to others with love and seek God.
